Our guarantee

The ImFiled Preparation Guarantee

We stand behind the work we do: preparing your USCIS package accurately and completely from the information you give us. If we make a preparation error on our end, we will fix it and refund your preparation fee.

The terms

What it covers

What this covers

A “preparation error” means a defect in our preparation of your package. Specifically:

  • we used a wrong or outdated edition of a form;
  • we left a required field blank that you supplied the information for; or
  • an assembly or formatting mistake on our end caused USCIS to reject your filing (a rejection or non-acceptance — not a denial on the merits, and not a Request for Evidence).

What this does not cover

This commitment covers our preparation work only. It does not cover USCIS decisions (approvals, denials, or Requests for Evidence), your eligibility for any benefit, government filing fees, information you entered that was inaccurate or incomplete, delays by USCIS or the mail, or your decision about whether and when to submit. We prepare your documents; we cannot guarantee an immigration outcome, and no honest service can.

How to make a claim

Email support@imfiled.com with your case ID and the USCIS notice (or a description of the problem) within 60 days of when we delivered your package, or within 30 days of a USCIS rejection notice if that is later (and no more than 6 months after delivery). We will review whether it was a preparation error as defined above and aim to respond within 10 business days.

The remedy

If it is a covered preparation error, we will correct and re-deliver your package at no additional charge and refund your $145 preparation fee to your original payment method. A refund of the preparation fee is the sole remedy, one per order, and our total liability is limited to the preparation fee you paid.

ImFiled is self-help software for preparing your own USCIS documents, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. This is not a promise of any USCIS result.
